I Use the Diva Cup & Here's My Review

*This is not a sponsored post.*

I started using the Diva Cup almost a year ago, and switching over from tampons was one of the best decisions of my life. A little dramatic? Maybe, but there are so many benefits to using the Diva Cup that it just makes my life easier.

Less Waste Means Environmentally Friendly

A woman will use an average of 9,000 tampons in her lifetime. That is just one woman. Ten women will produce an average of 90,000 tampons in their lifetime. All of that is going to landfills. Oh boy, I can just imagine the mountains of feminine hygiene products now. A reusable menstrual cup can last up to 10 years. 10 YEARS! That’s ten years of zero feminine hygienic product waste.

money, Money, MONEY!

My Diva Cup, which I repeat will last me an average of ten years, cost me around $35 at the supermarket. A woman will spend an average of $2,000 in her lifetime on tampons. Nuff’ said.

Comfortable & Clean

I used to believe that tampons were so comfortable and a complete game changer for dealing with periods. But the most annoying thing about tampons are the strings. TMI, but it’s kind of uncleanly. That string hangs there when using the restroom, and that always bothered me. The Diva Cup sits in the vagina with nothing hanging outside of your body. It’s completely out of the way and very comfortable. Honestly, the only thing that bothers me now during my periods are my severe cramps.

Zero Worries During My Period Days

I can leave my menstrual cup in for up to 12 hours. It’s very convenient for me because my commute times to and from work are so long that sometimes I am away from the house for that long. I can go on throughout my work day without having to worry about changing tampons or dealing with the discomfort of using pads.
